Wagon Week: 1983 Mercedes-Benz 300TD

A rising star in the collectable world

Continuing on this week’s Wagon theme, I bring to you an incredibly immaculate 1983 Mercedes-Benz 300TD Wagon.

If you wanna talk rising stars in the collectable game, then the W123 300TD is of a notable mention. Prices have been increasing as of late, however there are still bargains to be had.

Their cool to look at, functional, bulletproof (the OM617 engine an icon of durability) and surprisingly ahead of their time. Infact, if you wanted a collectable you could daily, a W123 300TD should be high on the list.

This particular 300TD is an absolute minter, having been owned by a Mercedes employee most of its life. A full service history with Mercedes and low kilometres means the inside of that oiler is probably as tidy as that stunning coffee interior.

The Moss Green is also a standout feature, and still looks as deep as the day it was laid. Much more desirable than the white and yellow examples that regularly turn up for sale. Brightwork also looks floor less, and really sets these wagons apart from other early 80’s plastic bumper cars.

If you want it, best be quick. She won’t be around for to long.
