1956 Porsche 356A Manual: Top to Tail

Is this thing too clean?

I’ll be honest. I am not a huge fan of concourse restorations. I much prefer to see a classic car with some bags under the eyes, and a few bumps and bruises. But damn it if this stunning Poyantha Red 1956 Porsche 356A didn’t stop me dead in my tracks.

The ‘rona means there’s suddenly and influx of toys being offloaded, to help buy more TP no doubt. So much so, that I have a bit of a backlog, and will therefore keep this post short and sweet. Speaking of, this poor bugger is going to have a hell of a time selling in the current climate- money is tight.

Still, if you’re cashed up and in the market for a classic Porsche, it doesn’t get much better than this. The restoration work has been completed by Hardt Classics, one Australia’s premier Porsche restorers. Combine that with a well documented life (even an Outlaw at one stage), there’s not much more to do but jump in and drive. But the nagging question for me is, “is it too clean?”.

Doesn’t matter. Still would.
