1991 Chevrolet Corvette Callaway Manual MY91: Like a Watermelon Seed

Callaway filled the gap in 1991

Back in 1991, if you wanted to plant your ass in an American car and go fast, there really weren’t many options. There were a few cool factory specials, such as the Dodge Spirit R/T and the Ford Taurus SHO – front wheel drive “sport” sedans that resembled a box on wheels. Then you had the Dodge Stealth R/T turbo – but that was just a re-badged Mitsubishi. Or you could opt for the poster child of American car culture, the Chevrolet Corvette.

But even the Corvette wasn’t exactly quick.

If you had half a clue, however, you could’ve ticked the box for the RPO B2K Callaway option. That meant your car would be shipped to Callaway, fitted with a host of upgrades (including Twin Turbos), and return equipped with 403hp and a multitude of vents.

This 1991 Chevrolet Corvette Callaway is one of the last factory ordered cars, as Chevrolet binned the option upon the imminent ZR1 release. That makes it very rare, with only 62 being produced.

If you’re game, you can find this rare 1991 Chevrolet Corvette Callaway on Carsales here for $95k.
