1999 Nissan S14 200sx LS1: How to lose your licence

Step 1: Buy this

Featured on Car Rave today is an insanely modified 1999 Nissan S14 200sx (or Silvia). This car truly pushes the limits of what can be done with a once rather humble little Japanese coupe.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last 10-15 years, you may have heard the phrase “LS the world” being thrown around. The phrase ofcourse refers to the insanely popular range of GM engines, a tough as nails pushrod V8 that has been slotted into everything from Lamborghinis to Landcruisers. So, it won’t come as much of a surprise that the owner of this S14 has ditched the SR20 in favour of an LS1.

This swap is by no means a new idea. Punters have been slotting LS’s between the front struts of RWD Nissans from day dot. But throw in a wild Rocket Bunny/Pandem Boss body kit, massive Cosmis Racing wheels, and the whole package begins to look pretty damn spiffy.

The ‘Cuda-esque front grill treatment on the Rocket Bunny kit equates to the whole front of the S14 getting scrapped. Additionally, the rear bumper gets flung and replaced with, well, nothing. It’s damn aggressive, and transforms the S14 into an almost unrecognisable car.
