Quite possibly.

Its certainly one of the wildest Japanese cars ever featured here on Car Rave.

Unlike the parts “shopping lists” of my youth- that would adorn everything from CA18de Silvia’s to your mates VS Commodore- this Evo is no bullsh*t. With a variable “who’s who” of performance parts lurking under the hood, it’s clear the builder of this weapon knew what they were doing.

Up for sale / eoi is my 2003 Mitsubishi Evolution 8.
Please note car will not be available until mid august as it is having a new exedy triple plate clutch installed.

Car is making 430kw @ 30psi on caltex E-flex. Tuned by Next Up Performance
Engine and clutch rebuilt 7,118 kms ago.
Gearbox rebuilt and installed 5,430 kms ago.

$45,000 car is currently unregistered, but will be sold with 6 months qld rego and mod plated. or $42,000 without clutch

Built 2.4ltr, built by Next Up Performance.

Bottom End:
4G64 block
ACL race bearings
Wiseco HD2 forged pistons 9:7:1 with -17 dish asymmetrical skirts with gas ports.
Carillo Pro-H beam rods (block notched to fit larger rods)
APR 2000 main studs and bolts (bore was line honed)

DRIVELINE:
Exedy twin plate clutch rebuilt by Direct Clutch Services to Hi-torque specs. (clutch is already slipping under boost so having a exedy tripple plate clutch installed next month)
ATC Monolock
5 speed conversion (5 speed is stronger then the 6 speed)
Gearbox was rebuilt, has brand new syncros, seals and PPG billet diff tube.

Genuine evo 9 rear bar fitted.

Aero catches fitted to bonnet.
Genuine Voltex wide front guards +30mm.
Genuine Voltex side skirts.
Genuine Voltex rear over fenders +30mm (rear guards were cut to ensure clearance for big rubber/wheels)
has been re-painted in OEM Scotia White.
APR carbon fiber side morrors.
APR carbon fiber canards (clear coat is starting to peel)
Genuine Voltex rear exhaust guard.
clinched rear spoiler (not painted or fitted yet but will be before hand over)
